Jodyprody – meet the multifaceted and multitalented illustrator, animator and ... acoustic engineer. |
Originally, Jody Ghani Nordby had a master in acoustic engineering, and used to work as a research assistant, but something creative was always missing, she says. That is why she decided to study at VIA University College, for a bachelor in Character Animation. Jody now works as a full time animator and illustrator under the name JodyPrody, promoting her work on her popular website jodyprody.com, and her equally popular Instagram profile.
JodyPrody’s portfolio includes a broad variety of artwork: Graphic Facilitation, live drawing and creating whiteboard films. Her animated work includes TED-Ed films, poetry films and work done for private and public companies. “Doing the TED-Ed films is always a very intense and interesting process, where I myself get to learn some brand new knowledge about topics that are recently researched. To be able to express and communicate them in a clear, visual and more understandable way, I have to understand the topics myself. For instance, I have learned about ruins in Zimbabwe, and currently I´m doing a TED-Ed about neutron stars” Jody says, about the animation process and the foundation of knowledge she builds before making an educational film. |
"Every area has some fascinating aspects in the work process, and I like the challenge and the excitement of the variation in my work"
