On Saturday, August 29th, 2026, it was Award Time at Odense Intl' Short Film Festival once again, and once again Danish animation had a front-row seat. See all the animation winners here:

BØRGE RING AWARD

Awarded to the best Danish or international animation short film in program. The award is Oscar-qualifying and as sponsored by The Danish Animation Society. The winner receives a cash prize of DKK 15,000 + a beautiful bronze statuette designed by Joana-Malin Davis and based on Børge Rings Oscar winning short film "Anna & Belle".

BEST DANISH ANIMATION AWARD

Awarded to the best Danish film in the program and typically to a new and upcoming talent on the animation scene. The award is sponsoret by The Danish Animation Society and the winner receives a cash prize of DKK 10,000 + an award statuette.

PITCH ME BABY

Pitch Me Baby is a competition where selected filmmakers get to pitch their short film idea to a highly qualified jury consisting of: director and actor Christian Tafdrup, director, screenwriter and actor Zinnini Elkington, composer Sune Kølster, screenwriter Sara Isabella Jønsson & film producer Morten Kaufmann. The Pitch Me Baby competition is sponsored by Danish Film Directors and The Danish Animation Society.
